Thank you to the Prime Minister for inviting me to 10 Downing Street to celebrate Christmas with faith leaders.
The Government’s support for religious communities is very welcome. Thank you to the churches & faith leaders in Ashford, Hawkinge, and the Villages for all they do.
It was great to have my whole team up in Parliament today!
The work they do day in, day out, behind the scenes is invaluable, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together so far.
Thank you for everything you do for Ashford, Hawkinge, and the Villages.
Improving services and building a better understanding of mental health conditions is vital. That’s why I welcome the new independent review launched by the Government.

NHS staff do incredible work, often under tough conditions. But BMA-led strikes in peak flu season risk adding pressure on A&E departments & slowing Labour’s progress on waiting lists.
Today I asked the PM whether the BMA should be working with the Government instead. #PMQs
I’ve been actively engaging with companies, operators, and stakeholders in my campaign to restore international rail to Ashford. It was great to meet with representatives from Virgin Rail again today.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of the member of our Armed Forces who sadly lost their life today.
Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Many constituents contact me about the state of our local bus services, especially in rural areas. I am pleased that the @UKLabour Government is allocating an additional £78.2m to Kent County Council to improve local bus services.
Today I hosted @Se_Railway for an event in Parliament. It was a good chance to raise constituents’ concerns, such as high peak fares & better public transport coordination. It was also great to hear that Southeastern, a publicly owned network, is delivering many improvements. 🚆
As we enter peak season for illnesses like flu and norovirus, it’s important that Emergency Departments are kept for life-threatening or serious conditions.
Choosing the right NHS service will help ease winter pressures on A&E departments.
